Regent Monitors Japanese Village Construction Progress

Thousand Islands Regent, Junaedi monitored the progress of iconic Japanese Village tourist destination construction in Sakura Beach, Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands Sub-district.

This tourist destination will add more options for tourists who are going on vacation to Thousand Islands

He expected Japanese Village to increase number of tourist visits to Thousand Islands, especially Untung Jawa Island, in order to improve economy of local community.

Japanese Village Construction Progress in Sakura Beach Touches 90 Percent

"This tourist destination will add more options for tourists who are going on vacation to Thousand Islands. Hopefully pandemic will end soon and activities in tourism sector can quickly return to normal," he mentioned, Friday (4/23).

In today's monitoring, his side saw the progress of Japanese Village development has reached 95 percent, including construction of souvenir and culinary stalls, gazebo, and access to tourist sites.

Construction work on connecting bridge and selfie spot between Japanese Village and Sakura Beach are not completed yet. But those are targeted to be completed in June.

"Japanese Village development is carried out through collaboration between Thousand Islands Regency and PT. Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ)," he explained.
